No, you book, pay, open and end the (rental of the) bike via the website.

You can find this via the menu at the top right and in your profile. There they are, including the date you viewed them.
The steps are self-explanatory. We have either a field where you have to enter your details, eg your name or telephone number when registering or else you click the blue button to do something, eg rent 2 bikes.

First select the stop where you want to cycle from. Congratulations, you are already in the next screen. Press the number of bikes you want and press confirm to pay. If you are not yet registered, register yourself. Then we go to the payment screen to pay the advance. And then we are ready to cycle. Oh no, just confirm that you are standing besides the bicycle, enter the name of your desired bicycle and then press the “open now” button. The lock opens within a few seconds.
If you want to lock the bike, you do this manually. You can open the bike again with the same buttons.
If you want to end the rental, click the blue button “Stop rent bike”. Indicate whether the bicycle has damage, make sure that the bicycle has been returned to the correct location (is the bicycle in the green area?), Close the lock manually and end the rental by clicking the button “Confirm location & end rental".
This differs per bicycle and per subscription. You can see the costs immediately when you select a bicycle.

We would like to give you a tip. Do not pay out your depot after cycling once, but leave it and immediately get a 50% discount for your next ride.
That is entirely up to you. By taking out an insurance policy you significantly reduce your risk. You can turn the insurance on or off in your profile. You can find your profile at the menu screen at the top right. The status during the making of the reservation is the status of your insurance. For the amounts we refer to the Terms & Conditions.
We can recognize the format with (0031 612345678) and without country code (06 12345678).
That's no fun! You can change a bike free of charge up to 10 minutes after the moment you open the lock for the first time that rental period.

If you have been cycling for more than 10 minutes and the bike get damaged, see if you can take the bicycle to the nearest stop without causing additional damage. End the rental period here and report the damage. You can then rent a new bicycle if there is of course a bicycle.
Yes, up to 4 bikes. You can even rent different types of bikes if they are at one stop.
This is possible in 2 ways.
For single use, enter this when you pay.
If the discount code, for example from your employer, for several rentals, it is useful to enter this in your profile. You can access your profile via the menu at the top right.
You go to the stop where you rented the bike. Select the most enjoyable bike for you. Enter the name of the bicycle in the box. Then press "open" and your bike will open. Make sure that you stand next to the bike when you press open, because otherwise the bike will open while you are not there !!!
This is not possible in principle. If there are very mitigating circumstances, we would like to hear from you and see if we can help you.
If you wish to return your deposit, this will be refunded in approximately 14 days, provided that you have left the bike properly.
Via the menu screen top right to profile. In this screen you see as one of the first sentences "Change your password". Press this and change your password. Do not give your password to others, but of course you already knew that…
Always travel safely. You are responsible that the bicycle is in good condition and that you can cycle safely. Check your bike and report any defect. We will not charge you for this defect! If necessary, change the bike for free in the first 10 minutes after you have opened the bike.
If your bicycle has a defect during cycling, please report this. If it is a simple defect, we will repair it ourselves and we are happy that you have reported it. If the defect was caused by incorrect use, we can recover the costs from you. Please report this, otherwise the next user will report it. If you put your problem on someone else, we will act strictly according to our terms & conditions.
Yes, you need an internet connection when you open the lock and when you end the rental period.
Enter the name of your desired bike and then press the "open now" button. The lock pops open within a few seconds.
If you want to lock the bike, you do this manually. You can open the bike again with the same buttons, but you no longer have to enter the name. Note: only press the "open now" button when you are standing next to the bike else the can be stolen if you are not there. The lock pops open very quickly when you have pressed the button!
Try to find out how the lock won't close and try to fix it. Preferably cycle to a shared bicycle stop or even better a place where you can safely leave the bicycle, eg your workplace or hotel. End the rental period. During this procedure you report the malfunction. Due to the seriousness of this malfunction, we would also like to ask you to send an email directly to customer service (info@uwdeelfiets.nl with the name of the bicycle and the place where you left the bicycle). We will come as soon as possible to repair the lock.
If you have rented the bikes, only you can unlock the bikes. This can be done in the same screen as where you open the first bicycle. After opening the first bicycle, you can open the second bicycle. Then the possible third and fourth.
At the end of the rental period, you must end the rental period separately for each bicycle. This way you can choose whether everyone returns all bicycles or whether you want to continue cycling.
Preferably cycle to a Uw Deelfiets-stop. End the bike’s rental period. During this procedure you report the malfunction. If a malfunction is that serious that you can no longer cycle safely, disable the bike so that the next tenant can no longer take the bike. If the failure is less serious, you do not have to take the bicycle out of the rental.
After your report, we will come by to repair the bicycle as soon as possible.
In the screen “Active rent” you can open the lock when you have closed the lock manually by pressing the “Yes” button when you are standing next to the bicycle.

Press the "Stop renting a bike" button to end the rental period. Then press whether the bicycle has damage "Yes" or "No".
Make sure the bike is in the green geo-window at the stop before you lock the bike manually. Select the stop where the bike is located.

Then lock the lock manually. Scroll down your screen a little bit and if the bike is in the right place, press "Confirm location & end rental".

If the bicycle is not returned at the correct stop, you can incur a fine. In the event of damage to the bicycle and you can no longer continue cycling without causing more damage while you have used the bicycle properly, you can leave the bicycle in a different location without penalty.
Yes, as long as the bike is returned safely and clean. It is therefore not intended that you cycle on the beach or at unpaved paths.
Then you probably did not use the bike correctly. Immediately report the damage by starting the procedure to end the rental period. So report the damage and mail your story separately. If the bicycle is damaged by an accident, register the details of those with whom you had a collision together with the police. After we have looked at the bike, we will contact you to match your story and our findings and then arrive at a judgment.
If you ensure that the bike is always locked when you are not using it, we hope that this will not happen.
In the event that it still happens, you must contact us as soon as possible. We will start looking for the bike directly via the GPS tracker. If we find the bicycle, we can charge only tracking costs. If we don't find it, we have to replace it. To replace the bike, we must charge a missing bike surcharge in accordance with the terms and conditions.
At one of the Uw Deelfiets-stops. You can see the nearest stop when you are going to end the rental period. Make sure to leave the bike in the green geo window!
You can end the rental period by clicking the “Stop bicycle rental” button. Then press whether the bicycle has damage on “Yes” or “No”.
Make sure the bicycle is in the green geo-window at the stop before manually locking the bicycle. Select the stop where the bicycle is located.

Then lock the lock manually. Scroll the screen down a little bit and when the bike is in the right place, press “Confirm location & end rental”.

If the bicycle is not returned at the correct stop, this can result in a fine. In the event of damage to the bicycle and you can no longer continue cycling without causing more damage while you have used the bicycle neatly, you can leave the bicycle in another place without penalty.
You pay a deposit when you rent privately. You can see this amount in the table when you reserve a bicycle.
Your deposit will be paid back after the first rental if you do not want the discount.

If you want to return your deposit after enjoying the discount, you can do so via the menu (button at the top right), going to profile and under your profile press the button “Click here for refund ...”. The amount will be refunded within approximately 14 days. It takes so long because we have to see if everything is okay.
This is very difficult, but it is possible. Return the bicycle to the Uw Deelfiets-stop. Lock the lock manually. End the procedure when you have an internet connection again. The rental of the bicycle continues until you have completed the procedure.
If you have not returned the bike to a stop, we must pull out to bring the bike back to its stop. This takes time, fuel and the bike cannot be rented. We charge costs for this. These costs are stated in the Terms & Conditions.
Via the employer or private individual by not reclaiming your deposit but immediately converting it into a 50% discount after the first rental period. That’s cool!
By reclaiming the outstanding amount. We settle the administration costs after you have requested the deposit after the first lease.
